Organic Farming

In this populated world organic food demand is higher without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides and other artificial inputs.
World is highly using chemicals and pesticides to grow more food which is effecting the public health so, Slowly people is seeking organic food which is beneficial for health and environment.

We can divide Agriculture in different category:

1.Food crop

Food crop means which we consume as our main food on the daily basis. Different crops are grown in different climate of Nepal from Mountain to Terai region Rice, wheat, Buckwheat, Millet are some example of crops grown in Nepal. Terai is also called a food basket of Nepal where mostly Rice and Wheat is grown in this region except that Mustard and sunflower is also cultivate in this region. In this heavily used fertilizers for crops has become a main problem for the world so, practicing pesticide free crop farming is in big demand and necessary for the better world and health. Nepal has a very diversity in climate so, we can produce different crop in different places according to climate from hot weather to Cold weather.

2.Cash crop

Those crops which we can sell and gain money instantly is called cash crops there are many cash crops some are sugarcane, Vegetables, Tea and Tobacco. All these crops are grown all over the Nepal but not sufficient for the whole country for sufficient in food supply, government need to do homework for the food security of Nepal. Lacking of proper irrigation has become a major problem for the farmer and traditional farming has not able to set free farmers from poverty. We need green vegetables on the daily basis but with high pesticides used on vegetables has become major health issue both for farmer and consumer to fight against this problem we need to be aware of the situation.

3.Fish farming

Fish is a good source of protein. Specially we can see fish farming mostly in Terai all over Nepal but that is not even sufficient for the demand in Nepal. Every year Nepal lost a huge amount of money on importing Fish from India and third countries. Even in hilly region Trout fish farming is famous for high demand and price. Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Sindhupalchowk are example of districts which are developing in trout farming.

4.Fruit farming

Fruit farming is also an important source of income of farmers where farmers can earn every year on its season with less labour. Different region has different fruit frarming according to its climate like in Terai and hot valleys Banana, Mango, Litchi, Pineapple. In hilly region Citrus fruit like; Orange, Lemon, Sweet orange, Kiwi. Accordingly in the Mountain region Apple farming are famous. Farmers are farming on their own tradational technique which has higher production cost and lower income which is needed to be solved but Government are not showing interest to find out problems which has raised big problems and decreasing in production. Districts like Gorkha, Tanahaun, Chitwan are facing the problem of blight disease. Slowly it seen on a plant and spread over others slowly and has no specific treatment till now. This is a big concern for agricultural industry.

Poultry

Another agricultural industry with big potential and importance for the economy and for Meat and egg is poultry farm where thousands of farmers have invested and creating jobs for thousands of people even though poultry industry in self- sufficiency for meat and egg in Nepal.Feed dependency is the main problem in poultry so, getting feed from another country exit big money every year and insufficient in Vaccine is also a problem which causes a loss for farmer.
